Brunch at Max's

First and foremost, we would love to spend some more time with everyone after the wedding! We are hosting a brunch Sunday 10/3 at Max Gill and Grill, locally owned by two of our very good friends. The Denver Central Market is a gourmet marketplace and food hall. They house a variety of local vendors, including a bakery, coffee shop, fish market, butcher, rotisserie, chocolate shop, ice cream, wood-fired pizza, salad, and sandwiches. They also have an outstanding bar, serving cocktails, beer, and wine. Visit anytime between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm. Their retail selection includes dry goods; from fresh bread to olive oil to spices.

Hikes & Scenic Views

October is beautiful in Colorado! We have included some great day hikes to see the color changing Aspens and other places that are worth visiting. Please keep in mind that the foothills/mountains will be much cooler than the city so dress accordingly! Traffic can get pretty heavy going to the mountains on the weekend, we advise that if you want to hike you leave early with plenty of extra time.

Where to hike if you want to see Aspens:
Kenosha Pass
- 90 min drive from Denver
- Trails range from Easy to Moderate
- 7 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Jefferson that features beautiful wild flowers (you can also drive to see the color changes if you don't want to hike!)

Sprague Lake Loop in Rocky Mountain National Park
- 2 hour drive from Denver
- Easy
- 0.8 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Estes Park that features a lake and is good for all skill levels

Mt. Bierdstadt Hike on Guanella Pass
- 90 min drive from Denver
- Summit a Fourteener, Mount Bierstadt, or go for an easy hike high in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. In short, you’ve got options on this trail near the top of Guanella Pass. You can choose an easy stroll or a difficult hike

Golden Gate Canyon
- 1 hour drive from Denver
- Easy to Moderate
- Numerous trails with beautiful views perfect for any skill level

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater
- 30 min drive from Denver
- The Amphitheater is open to the public during the day as long as they don't have an event scheduled. The theater offers beautiful views and is a must-see if you have never been. There are also several surrounding trails

Lookout Mountain
- 30 min drive from Denver
- Easy
- 4.4 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Golden that features beautiful wild flowers

Chautauqua Trail/Park
- 40 min drive from Denver
- Good for all skill levels
- 1.2 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Boulder that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels (This is where we took our engagement photos!)

St. Mary's Glacier Trail
- 1 hour drive from Denver
- Moderate
- 1.9 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Idaho Springs that features a lake

Mt. Falcon Hiking Trail
- 30 min drive from Denver
- Moderate
- 6.7 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Morrison, Colorado that offers the chance to see wildlife

Hanging Lake
- 2.5 hour drive from Denver
- Moderate
- 3 mile loop, one of Colorado's most visited and beautiful short hikes that features a lake.
